MMDA Recent Student Accomplishments

We are proud of our current and former students!

  • Marah King is currently pursuing her BFA in Dance at Belhaven University, after having danced professionally with the Missouri Ballet Theatre.
  • Noel Pollard graduated with a BFA in Dance from the University of Alabama and then danced for two seasons with the Alabama Ballet. She is currently working with the Mobile Ballet.
  • Mallory Markham danced professionally with the Columbus Dance Theatre in Columbus, OH. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Dance in 2010. She is currently dancing in San Francisco, CA.
  • Christina Holy was the 2010 Madison County Jr. Miss. She was named 2nd Runner Up at the state competition and won the overall Self-Expression and Fitness Awards.
  • Jane Anne Duddleston spent two years as a member of Orlando Ballet II after studying at the Ellison Ballet year-round training program in New York City.
  • Allison Kellogg appeared in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City in 2006 and 2007 as Barbie. She is also the Mattel Toys spokesperson on the QVC Shopping Network, and has appeared on television on the David Letterman Show, All My Children, and Deal or No Deal.
  • Dexter Bishop received his Master's Degree in Dance from Oklahoma City University. He is currently dancing professionally with Missouri Ballet Theatre.
  • Kevin Arredondo is currently in his junior year as a dance major at Belhaven University.
  • Maggie Holmes and Caroline Jones received half-tuition scholarships to the 2012 Joffrey New York Summer Intensive. Both dancers were also invited to join the Joffrey Ballet Trainee program for the 2012-2013 academic year.
  • Mary Kate Shearer was accepted to the Rock School for Dance Education 2012 summer workshop in Philadelphia, PA.
  • Larissa Saenz was accepted to the ABT Alabama Summer Intensive for 2012.
  • Paige Westover was accepted to the 5-week Los Angeles Ballet summer program for 2012.
  • Anna Margaret McDonnell was accepted to the Joffrey New York Summer Intensive for 2012.
  • Donovan Davis was offered a full scholarship to the Ballet West summer intensive and an invitation to join the Ballet West trainee program for the 2012-2013 season.
