Jennifer Beasley
Ms. Beasley began her training with Linda Ford in Monroe, Louisiana. She trained with the Twin City Ballet in Monroe and at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. She danced professionally with the Louisville Ballet for two years and with Ballet Mississippi for five years including the last season of her professional career under dance legend Fernando Bujones. She served as Ballet Mistress for Ballet Mississippi School for the year following her professional career. Currently she is the owner of the Mississippi Metropolitan Dance Academy with two locations, Madison and the Reservoir. She also serves as the Artistic Director of the Mississippi Metropolitan Ballet company. The company serves the metro Jackson area and the state of Mississippi as a presenting and performing company. Ms. Beasley’s students have won numerous cash awards and scholarships to study throughout the country and many regional titles at competitions. Ms. Beasley has coached a USA International Ballet Competition competitor, Miss Mississippi 2003, and America’s Junior Miss 2005. She is a former Mississippi Dance Association Board Member and is currently a certified member of Dance Masters of America. In 2005 she was awarded the Outstanding Teacher Award at the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix student ballet competition in Greenville, South Carolina and was named one of Mississippi’s Most Dynamic women in 2009. She currently is the Vice-President of Regional Dance America Southeast. Ms. Beasley has been the director of MMDA and MMB since 1997.
